The Musician’s Studio drum instructors create lesson plans according to each individual student’s specific interests and abilities. Students will be encouraged to learn songs by their favorite artists to make the curriculum their very own.
We are also “kid friendly” at the Musician’s Studio. Teaching with or without the use of instructional books in a very relaxed environment sets us apart from the sometimes too strict “method” approaches that the “store bought” lessons offer. We believe that the art of drumming should be taught by listening and performing different styles of music according to the student’s desires so learning exact drum fills from your favorite recordings play a big part in teaching you how to play.
As our students progress to higher levels of coordination, instruction involves how to analyze music and break down different parts of the rhythm section to clearly understand “what and where” to play in an existing groove .
